GlassesShop.com Review

Hello Luv!

I took the bait and tried buying prescription glasses online! I know there are plenty of people doing this but I have always been hesitant. Upon being approached by GlassesShop.com to review a pair of their eyeglasses for my blog (full disclosure), I thought this was a great opportunity. GlassesShop.com sent me a free pair of glasses of my choosing with a coupon code for my readers (at the bottom). Here is what I learned!

First, to order prescription eyeglasses online you have to have your prescription (RX) at the ready as well as your pupillary distance (PD) which is the distance between your pupils. This is best done by someone else but I did mine in the mirror. Once you have these pieces of information it is time to go shopping!

Next, I pulled up GlassesShop.com on my mac only to be surprised by the vast selection. They have everything from wire framed glasses to prescription sunglasses, in various styles and colors. I found a pair that caught my eye and decided to try something new. Then I placed my order and about 4 days later I had them.

When the glasses came they were packaged well. The eyeglass case had a complimentary cleaning cloth for the lenses(I love those things). Finally, I took the glasses out and was again surprised at the quality. I picked some clear plastic geek frames that would work with my prescription. These were not only well done but compared to my old glasses, that were bought at the optometrist's office, you couldn't tell they were a fraction of the price. The fit was to the same standard as my other frames and I am super happy.

In conclusion, I am looking forward to buying some more glasses and making them more of an accessory in my wardrobe as opposed to being stuck with one or two pairs of frames to choose from.

What are you thoughts? Have you bought glasses online? Would you? Let me know your thoughts. If you buy a pair use special coupon code GSHOT50 to get 50% OFF your first pair!!!

Best,

Hello Luv!

Here is the next installment of the Summer Outfit Series: For the LOVE of Floral! We are going casual with this look. We start with a WithChic.com hoodie that has floral printed sleeves. Next, is a cami top from boohoo.com with floral appliques, followed by some destroyed denim bermuda shorts from Pretty Little Thing. This look is accessorized with (my favorite) fairy trainers from YesStyle.com, Betsy Johnson backpack, Savage cap from Khols, Fossil watch, CZ Jewellery earrings, Swarovski wrap bracelet, Smashbox "Be Legendary" lipstick and Stila beauty balm.

You do not always have to be in sky high heels to make a statement.

I enjoy the details of this look! It looks relaxed and casual with the little details, like the fairey on the shoe or the stars in the earrings that make me smile. You do not always have to be in sky high heels to make a statement. Florals can be casual. I strive for a transitional wardrobe.

If you wanted to skip the shorts, swap them with a red pair of jeans. Make this look a little dressier by wearing cami with a midi length fitted skirt and strappy heels. Or keep it casual with a pair of sweats instead of jean shorts. Not a sneaker person? How about a pair of combat boots with destroyed denim instead. The fun is incorporating these ideas into your own style. Take trends then make them you own! The key is to integrate something into your wardrobe that can easily be worn with other pieces.

Well I hope you are enjoying this series! Don't forget to #PrettyButter on your outfits.

Summer Outfit Series: For the Love of Floral pt2

For the Love of Floral pt2

Hey Luv,

Floral print is the current obsession! Here is an outfit that is versatile and budget friendly. We start with a River Island floral print unstructured blazer. This blazer is not overpowering in its design and pattern, the soft color scheme with pops of orange can easily be worn year around. Paring it with a pair of Miss Selfridge wide leg trousers in a darker blush shade found in the floral blazer keeps the comfortable look interesting. Add a J. Thomson strappy crop top for the summer months or switch this top for a button up for a smart business look. The white chunky heeled sandals are from TopShop and balance out this look with some gold accessories.

It will be an easy feat to integrate each of these items separately into you wardrobe. The floral blazer can be worn to dress up a white t-shirt and jeans or over a fitted dress. The pants can be worn with a silky camisole and heels for an after 5 look that is also elegant. For these finicky british summers wear the crop under a light off the shoulder sweater and destroyed denim jeans and sandals for a cute weekend look. Each item even the accessories are reasonably priced so they are not a burden to buy.

By swapping out different parts of this outfit you can make it yours for your style and body type. I hope you enjoyed this look! Please tag #PrettyButter in you looks on social media!!!
